چکیده
The study of the fundamentals ? ? ? and ? phase transformations induced by high-pressure torsion (HPT) in Ti–Nb-based alloys is presented current work. Prior to HPT, three with 5, 10, 20 wt% Nb were annealed temperature range 700–540°C order obtain (? + ?)-phase state a different amount ?-phase. samples for long time reach equilibrium content ?-solid solution. Scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission microscopy, X-ray diffraction techniques used characterization microstructure evolution transformations. HPT results strong grain refinement microstructure, partial transformation ?-phase into ?-phase, complete transformation. Two kinds ?-phase chemical compositions observed after HPT. first one was formed from ?-phase, enriched Nb, second almost Nb-pure ?-phase. It found that depends on initial ?-Ti phase. less ?-phase, more transformed ?-phase.

Numerical Analysis of Severe Plastic Deformation by High Pressure Torsion
High-pressure torsion (HPT) is a metal processing method in which the sample is subjected to a very high plastic shear deformation. This process can produce exceptional levels of grain refinement, and provides a corresponding improvement in mechanical properties. To investigate the stress and strain distribution due to HPT process finite element simulation were conducted to investigate effectiv...
متن کاملMicrostructural evolution and phase transformation in twinning-induced plasticity steel induced by high-pressure torsion
The microstructural evolution of twinning-induced plasticity steel during high-pressure torsion (HPT) processing at 573 K was systematically evaluated. Due to the high processing temperature, the formation of a homogeneous nanostructure was primarily dominated by complicated dislocation and grain boundary activities in lieu of deformation twinning. Apart from the grain refinement process, phase...
متن کاملPressure-induced phase transformations in LiAlH4.
The pressure-induced phase transformations in pure LiAlH4 have been studied using in situ Raman spectroscopy up to 7 GPa. The analyses of Raman spectra reveal a phase transition at approximately 3 GPa from the ambient pressure monoclinic alpha-LiAlH4 phase (P2(1)/c) to a high pressure phase (beta-LiAlH4, reported recently to be monoclinic with space group I4(1)/b) having a distorted [AlH4]- tet...
متن کاملPhase transformations of amorphous semiconductor alloys under high pressures
The paper reviews the results of experimental studies and thermodynamical modelling of metastable T –P diagrams of initially amorphous GaSb–Ge and Zn–Sb alloys which provide a new insight into the problem of pressure-induced amorphization.
متن کاملAl - Mg - Cu based alloys and pure Al processed by high pressure torsion : the influence of alloying additions on strengthening
The influence of alloying additions on strengthening of high pressure torsion (HPT) processed alloys was investigated using commercially pure Al (Al-1050 alloy) and five Al-(1-3)Mg-(0-4)Cu alloys (in wt%). Microhardness was measured on cross sections. For Al-1050 the microhardness reaches a peak at an effective strain of about 3 and subsequently decreases. The microhardness of Al-Mg-Cu alloys i...
